Danube history

The Danube originated in Bulgaria in the 1920s and is also known as Dunav, Dunavska and Danubian. The Danube is a draft or light riding horse. Crossbreeding Nonius, Pleven, and local breeds with the Russian Trotter and Thoroughbreds created the Danube horse breed. The Danube horses are typically black or bay in color.
